About

Carlo Morassutti-Vitale founded Atelier Moravita from the desire to reinterpret and bring Venetian ceramics back into the rhythm of contemporary living. What began as a passion for hosting and beautiful objects slowly grew into a project defined by preservation, purpose, and the pleasure of making things that last.

Veneto: the territory of Atelier Moravita

Veneto is home to Atelier Moravita, where the legacy of the Morassutti-Vitale family meets the centuries old ceramic tradition of Bassano. Nestled between Prosecco hills, frescoes of Tiepolo and Veronese, and the quiet beauty of Asolo, we work to revive an ancient craft, while revaluing the territory that inspired it. Each creation becomes thus both an homage to heritage and an evolution of it: a bridge between memory, material, and design.

Venetian Ceramic Tradition

For over three centuries, Veneto has been renowned for its fine ceramic production. Local artisans perfected their craft using raw materials from the surrounding hills and mountains: clay from Marostica and the river Piave, gypsum from Asiago, and kaolin from Tretti. Over time, the region became a hub of creativity and craftsmanship, where historic manufactories evolved into internationally recognized centers of artistic and functional design.
Today, in Veneto, this centuries-old heritage is disappearing, yet artisans, workshops, are striving to keep alive the connection between the land, its people, and their artistry.
